Getting your photos in
The two ways photos reach Whitetail Wise.
There are two ways your trail-camera photos get into the app.
From an SD card
- Pull the SD card from the camera in the field.
- Plug it into your phone or computer.
- Open Cameras → Camera Sync.
- Choose which camera you are syncing from.
- Select your photos (or Select All) and upload.
From a cellular camera
If your camera sends photos over cell signal, they flow in automatically — there is nothing to upload. They land in your gallery and get analyzed the same way.
What happens after upload
Every photo runs through a quick first pass that drops the obvious empties (wind-blown branches, passing sun). Whatever is left is analyzed for animals. Anything the AI is confident about is filed automatically; anything it is unsure about waits for you in Needs Review.
Big batches can take several minutes to come back. You can keep using the app while it works.
